The RTS is a tried-and-true genre of PC gaming that has been introduced to players in an assortment of various ways. That said, nothing I’ve noticed before is very like Dark Future: Blood Red States out of Auroch Digital. After an elongated silence following the game’s first announcement in 2015, the programmers have released a brand new gameplay movie which has pre-alpha footage of the game.
As it is a movie of a pre-alpha build, Auroch Digital has said that some of the textures and the UI in this movie are just placeholders, so they aren’t final. That said, underneath the thin layer problems that arrive with displaying early builds of this game is a very intriguing take on an RTS that mixes traditional gameplay together with vehicular battle and roguelike components.
During a mission, the player’s car actually drives itself, along with players just marginally directing it upon which lane to be in and also what speed to go. Once players go into Command Mode, time slows down, players may then target the various weapons of the vehicle towards various different vehicles they are fighting, but they also must take movement into account, therefore aiming slightly ahead is normally the best option. Dark Future: Blood Red States single-player is also structured as a roguelike with permadeath, so appropriate planning is required to endure.
Below, you can see a few screenshots of Dark Future: Blood Red States together with the gameplay video.
