What Remains of Edith Finch Is Game of the Year at the BAFTA Games Awards 2018; Full List Inside

The award ceremony for the British Academy Games Awards just ended, and the winners have been announced in London at the Troxy venue.

The Game of the Year (or just “greatest game” since it’s formally termed) award went to What Remains of Edith Finch, that conquer  Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Super Mario Odyssey.

The Academy members via voting not selected nominees, although winners were decided via prosecution involving March 1st and March 8th. Only games published in the United Kingdom between January 1st and December 31st, 2017 were considered qualified to take part. Of course, this principle does not apply to the Evolving Game category.

This past year, the Greatest Game award went into Uncharted 4: Even a Thief’s End, whilst the 2016 edition of the prize went to   Fallout 4.   Destiny won in 2015.
