NBA Playgrounds 2 Has Been Delayed Indefinitely Less Than a Week Before Release

NBA Playgrounds 2 is almost upon us and is scheduled to launch next week. Or , well, it was designed to.

Recently, developer Saber Interactive announced the arcade basketball sequel has been delayed from its previous May 22 launch date and is currently pushed into an indefinite date. After being declared less than a month ago, it appeared as though the turn around from show to release has been almost too fantastic to be true. Turns out that it was.

“We’ve got some information to discuss, but we wish to begin by stating ‘good things come to people who wait.’ There are exciting things brewing with the NBA Playgrounds franchise that we believe will take arcade basketball into new levels. We can’t tell you what now, but we could tell you this means our launch date of May 22nd will be moved out. Please be patient, we promise that NBA Playgrounds 2 is going to be better than ever. We will have more details to share shortly. ”

It’s a bit odd to see a change delay such as this occur under a week before the launch of almost any game but the best we could do is trust Saber Interactive and believe that this delay is indeed a good thing for your franchise moving forward. We’ll keep you posted when we next hear word about which this exciting news is that Saber continues to be teased.

Currently, NBA Playgrounds 2 is scheduled to start PS4, Xbox One, Switch, along with PC.
